PayPal Says It Is Not Pursuing Acquisition of Pinterest


PayPal will not be pursuing an acquisition of Pinterest right now, the funds firm stated, responding to media experiences that it was in talks to purchase the digital pinboard website for as a lot as $45 billion (roughly Rs. Rs. 3,36,770 crore).

Bloomberg News first reported on the companies’ talks final week that was later confirmed by Reuters. A supply at the moment instructed Reuters that PayPal had provided $70 (roughly Rs. 5,250) per share, principally in inventory, for Pinterest.

PayPal didn’t present extra particulars in its assertion. It additionally didn’t reply to a request for remark looking for particulars about doable talks with Pinterest.

PayPal shares are down about 11.5 % for the reason that talks emerged, whereas Pinterest is up about 4.5 %.
