Star Trek’s William Shatner on his plan to boldly go into space

Star Trek actor William Shatner has been explaining why he needs to go into space as a part of a four-person crew aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin firm has pushed the launch of its New Shepard craft to Wednesday due to excessive winds. It is ready to be the rocket’s second human spaceflight.

William Shatner, who’s 90 years outdated, is joined by Vice President of Mission and Flight Operations, Audrey Powers, former Nasa engineer Chris Boshuizen, and Healthcare Entrepreneur Glen De Vries.

The actor, who performed Captain James T Kirk within the authentic Star Trek TV collection and quite a few movies, advised This Morning on CBS why he needed to be a part of the brand new enterprise.
